Danielle Edinburgh Wilson is a native of New Orleans. At the age of 2 she sang her first solo for her great-grandmother’s church program and she has been singing ever since. She began her professional career as the Diva in Jazzland Theme Park’s show Jazz, Jazz, Jazz. She has had the opportunity to sing around the world, performing in Spain, France, Belize, Italy and Switzerland as well as locally at Jazz Fest, Essence and other events including performances with the New Orleans Opera. She has performed with many great artist, Karen Clark Sheard, Kenny Loggins, Roland Carter, and Take 6 to name a few. In 2009 she released her Album “Reflections of Mahalia” to pay tribute to Mahalia Jackson and her gospel legacy.
Danielle Wilson is a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana where she majored in Vocal Performance. In September 2008 she received thunderous applause for her debut performance on the Kennedy Center’s Millenium Stage. She also received rave revues for her performance in the title role of the musical “Mahalia”. In all of this her motto is “It’s not me. It’s God!”
